On the average you could expect to pay around $363 dollars per day to own that spot on google search engine… Thats 10,915 dollars per month…

Thats$131,000 dollars per year… to buy that ONE phrase to get the traffic from google..the traffic equals 40,680 clicks…. (113 from above X 30 X12)

Now companies are paying this everyday…fortune 500 companies with deep pockets and much more resources than YOU OR I…So playing the adwords game is hard and you better have some deep pockets…and be VERY smart about the PPC game.

How To Make Money With Your Blog

If you have a blog or are planning on beginning one soon, then you obviously want it to be as successful as possible. It should go without saying that you need to update your blog regularly – at least three or four times a week. However, there are a handful of other things you should do as well.

Here are a few tips to make your blog more successful. You should be writing articles, submitting your blog to digg.com and similar sites, pinging your blog, including the link to your blog in your signature on forums, and including the link on social networking sites.

One of the best ways to promote your blog is by writing articles about the topic and submitting the articles to article sites such as ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com. You can even just cut and paste an actual blog and submit it to your blog. Just put a link to one of your blogs in the signature box below the article.

The second tip to make your blog better is to visit dig.com and add the URL to the site. This will draw in more visitors and will get
you a ton of hits if your blog post is good enough to be selected as one of the feature stories. There are other sites like digg.com
that you can visit as well.

A Squidoo lens is a great thing to set up. Google once again seems to love Squidoo. That means Google ranks Squidoo lenses very well on their search results. It’s also very easy to build a Squidoo lens quickly. Here’s how to build a Squidoo lens in 10 minutes.

The first thing you need to do is go to Squidoo.com and sign-up for an account (if you don’t already have one). Once you have an account then you’re ready to build your first lens. So you can go ahead and click-on “Make a Lens” at the top of the page. Then go ahead and complete the information they ask you to complete.

The correct way to build a Squidoo lens is for you to include keywords for your topic. Try to do this in the URL and in the title of your lens. You’ll also be able to add keyword tags to your lens after you’re built the lens.

Once you’ve filled in the preliminary information (name of lens, the URL, keywords, etc.) then you want to actually build your lens.

The best way how to build a Squidoo lens in 10 minutes is to include as little information as possible in each module (you can add more information later). You also want to have about 5 modules.

So begin with the Introduction module. In about 3 sentences explain what the lens is about. Include a picture if you have one.

Then include a poll, an Amazon module (books from Amazon that relate to the niche), a YouTube module, and a link list (linking to your website). It will probably take you about 5 minutes to do all
that. You can add more now or later if you want.

One last thing you do need to do is include more keyword tags. You do this by going to the right of the lens and clicking on “edit” beside tags. Then put in as many as 20 keyword tags that apply to your lens.

When this is finished go ahead and click on “Publish” at the top of the page. This will put your page “live” on Squidoo. Remember you can go back in and make improvements later. You can add some other cool modules like “Black Box” or “Sticky Note”. (They are both super-easy to set-up and they look great!) Just to get your lens up and running this is a great way how to build a Squidoo lens in 10 minutes or less.

Four FREE Ways to Make Money Online

There are many ways to make money online. Many of the money-making techniques take money to make money. This means that you need to begin with money if you hope to make any money. However, there are several free ways to make money online. Let’s take a look at four of them right now.

1. Offer Your Services

Perhaps the easiest way to get started making money online is by offering your services to other internet marketers. If there is something you do especially well – such as writing, designing web
pages, etc. – then you can find people who will be more than happy to pay for your services.

You can go to some sites that charge you to pay to bid on projects (such as elance or scriptlance) but you don’t have to. 3. Use Social Networking Sites

Social networking sites is another great way to make money through affiliate sales. You can be an active member and create one or more pages on social sites such as MySpace, FaceBook, Squidoo, Xanga, and FacePaint.

You can also use your social networking site(s) in conjunction with a free blog. Also, you can use article marketing to help direct traffic to your social networking sites.

4. Create Your Own Product

You could also create your own product and sell it on your free blog, social website, and on forums. Of course this would work best if you pay a little money and set-up a sales page with the
necessary bells and whistles. But you can do it the free way and make some money as well.

So there you have four free ways to make money online. You can commit to any or all of these free ways and begin bringing in money within a few days to a couple weeks.

As Web 2.0 becomes less of just a buzzword and more of a reality, the types of sites webmasters need to publish will increasingly become more important. In other words, mini-sites are slowly dying and cookie-cutter article sites are on the way out as well. Web surfers will become more value-focused and web companies will become larger in their niche and will be viewed as an Authority Site.

Web 2.0 is basically a trend or the idea of websites being more interactive with the surfers. These type of sites usually offer a way for the web surfers to voice their opinion through blogs, forums, and other interactive gadgets.

The more important issue is that you are not ignoring this trend…because it is here to stay. And I’ll tell you why…

Over the next few years expect larger conglomerates to be buying up profitable websites in their chosen markets. Expect smaller sites to either be bought or driven out of business. My intention is not to scare you, but this outcome is inevitable.

Large businesses have always taken two approaches to their desired markets. They either buy their competition or they push them out of business. You want to be prepared when this trend begins on the Internet.

Being a webmaster and online marketer, you should be preparing for one of two scenarios. To position yourself for a buyout to a larger company or to become the larger company that dominates your chosen market.

I like the idea of creating a site with the idea of someone paying me a few million in a few years. …and if you grasp that concept, the whole idea of building your site will take on new meaning.

Whichever route you choose is entirely up to you, but I would suggest that it would be in your best interest to begin focusing on authority sites. You can either start building them or turning your current sites into them. Whatever your approach may be, I assure you it will help you sleep better at night.

So what actually Defines an Authority Site?

A fairly comprehensible authority site definition was put forward by Jason Dowdell of Global Promoter. Jason defined it this way: “Authority sites are sites that have been linked to and referenced on other web sites covering the same subject matter and they also will have hundreds if not thousands of pages covering that subject matter and nearly every facet of it”

That definition is one man’s opinion, albeit a good one, but let us go directly to the source. Many search engine optimization and search engine marketing experts believe Google has derived their primary algorithm from a document titled, “Hilltop: A Search Engine based on Expert Documents.”

The PageRank formula as we know it today was derived from this paper, and the authors, Bharat and Mihaila, define an
authority site in the text below:

“We believe a page is an authority on the query topic if and only if some of the best experts on the query topic point to it. Of course in practice some expert pages may be experts on a broader or related topic. If so, only a subset of the hyperlinks on the expert page may be relevant.”

“In such cases the links being considered have to be carefully chosen to ensure that their qualifying text matches the query. By combining relevant out-links from many experts on the query topic we can find the pages that are most highly regarded by the community of pages related to the query topic. This is the basis of the high relevance that our algorithm delivers.”

What we have reprinted above is the foundation of the PageRank system and the determination for deciding which sites will be authorities. I highly recommend you read and re-read the full document until you understand every aspect of it.

What Are the Components of an Authority Site?

–A highly popular niche topic
–A well organized and visitor optimized site
–A well search engine optimized site
–And tons of content for free.
–And some Web 2.0 features so visitors can interact with you.

The Authority Site Formula = Visitor Optimization (VO) + Content Optimization (CO) * Creative Marketing (CM)

A simple question must be asked. What do 99.9% of authority sites provide? In a sentence, an incredible amount of original content and a superb visitor experience. The search engines want you to succeed and they want you to make money, but you have to play by their rules. In the future, focus your efforts on visitor optimization and content optimization instead of search engine optimization.

Wanna see an example of an Authority Site?

About.com is the definition and was the original authority site. Their site has a generic domain name and hundreds of subdomains on different topics.

Your authority site should take the same approach, but not on such a general level. If you launch an authority site, it should be geared towards a well-defined and large market. After you launch the site and generate some traffic, you should create subdomains that cover specific areas inside that larger market.

For example, TheDiabeticResouce.com is not an active site; but if it were, then a typical authority site setup would be something like:

* www.supplies.TheDiabeticResouce.com
* www.diet.TheDiabeticResouce.com
* www.insurance.TheDiabeticResouce.com
* www.symptoms.TheDiabeticResouce.com
* www.treatment.TheDiabeticResouce.com

Using this approach, you are able to target your general market while generating more targeted traffic pertaining to related sub-markets.

As a rule of thumb, the index pages on your domains and subdomains should be more focused on content, but the article and commentary pages should be more focused on advertising. Just do not ever lose sight of the most important aspect of your site, which is visitor experience otherwise known as visitor optimization.

What Does It Take to Create an Authority Site?

You want to create a site that generates thousands of visitors a day mainly through the major search engines, and would ultimately be the one-stop source for information in that particular market.

Your site must employ three traits to become an authority site. Let’s discuss all three necessary aspects:

Dynamic: You should have as many RSS feeds as you can muster to incorporate throughout your site. Your visitors need to be able to receive RSS feeds for any keyword, category or archive as well as create their own. One feed is no longer enough to satisfy your visitors.

Interactive: You should be engaging the minds of your visitors at all times using surveys, commenting and feedback. Make these features easy for your visitors and your site will grow exponentially. Why? Because they feel like you actually care about them. Interaction is a powerful tool and creates a sense of community on your site.

Consistent: You should post to your blog often, and you should always provide quality and original content. That doesn’t mean you need to produce 800-word articles three times a week. Your goal should be to become a news master. You need to be an “authority” on the news happening in your niche.

If you follow the steps and guidelines listed above, then you will be on your way to being the owner of an authority site.

About 3 wks ago I was excited to enter the PLR market, and I found what I thought was going to be one of the easiest systems to help people make money online. It all started when I read this post in the WF.

For those of you who don’t know what PLR is, it stands for Private Label Rights, and can be anything from something as simple as an article….to a complete site…to software…and etc. It is a product that someone else makes/produces….and allows you (the buyer) to take that product and sell it as your own with your own name and label. This is very common on the internet.

Okay, so back to my story….so I jumped in headfirst and started researching this PLR thing like mad. This is how my journey went…

Step #1
First thing I did was join Automatic Niche Profits …I thought this would be a piece of cake since they provided all this stuff…

* A 50 page Niche eBook
* An Audio Recording Of The Niche eBook
* A Niche Video
* 50 Niche Articles (600 Words Each)
* A Complete Sales Page With Audio Samples
* A Download (Thank You) Page
* Customizable Web Site Graphics

Now it looks awesome…and it really is a great package!

But can you really use this model to make money?

Read on…

Step #2
Then it dawned on me that if such a product was being offered to a membership full of people (such as 500) …and they were all using the “turnkey” system (same graphics, same ebook cover, same audio, same video, same articles, same sales page…and etc)…..then regardless how easy this was…it all didn’t matter if my site would look same as everyone else’s…and this was NO way to build a business.

I was looking for a system that I could recommend to others who could simply plug in to the system and start a business by following the steps…turns out this is not possible with PLR.

Step #3
So I began to do more research.

Very extensive research…in fact I spent about three days doing nothing but researching PLR sites!

And I found that almost everyone that promoted or endorsed PLR…also highly recommended that each user take the product, the graphics, the sales page, and etc….and change it as much as possible to make it unique.

Huh?

….well, that shoots the “system” for sure!

So what am I supposed to do with the professional audio and video? I guess that is just a waste!? Oh, wait, I forgot…that really helps to “sell” the package. (notice my sarcasm)

You see, the problem is…a lot of people will have trouble taking a package and redoing the whole thing to make it look like their own…and while it is very nice to have PLR sites/services do all this work for you…it is just not a doable plan for the masses.

…and especially people who are new to this stuff.

But even with that fact aside…if you want to “make it” in the internet marketing business…then your site needs to look different from everyone elses site…and it needs to have its own look and feel. And this is not possible with these PLR packages.

So basically, I might as well create my own product from scratch, get my own graphics done, and use all original content since I have to edit/change everything anyways.

So in essence, PLR is worthless?

Well, not quite…read on.

Step #4
I gotta admit, I was a little depressed at this point…and I was wrecking my brain to try and figure out what to do next.

I knew there had to be a way to use PLR that was different from other people.

Step #5
Then I began to realize the PLR was a big business…so I started looking around at what other sites were offering. And I found that many offered the same thing…some had a few unique twists and some wereVERY tempting….like these…

–Niches-In-A-Box.com - this stuff looks AWESOME at the start…but I found out later that they sites are basically silo sites, pages stuffed with keywords and will again end up looking like a spammy site…..

–Niche Revolution - this also looked very promising at first, but then I found out through other Warrior Forum people that they only LEASE their content, as soon as you cancel your membership, you lose the right to keep your existing sites and content….ouch!

So it all boils down to this…

THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM…THEY PROVIDE THE SAME PRODUCT FOR EVERYONE….and this saturates the market and makes us, the marketer look like an novice at best.

Step #6
The problem is, no matter how complete, or perfect the package is…there are other people who are using the same identical package…and most are using the same identical marketing strategy to get traffic.

So if everyone uses the same package, and gets the same traffic….the whole thing starts to look spammy, and way too fake. And we all know that it will be an uphill battle to try and get a site like this ranked on page 1 of Google because of duplicate content.

Step #7
So after 3 days of doing nothing but research, I finally got the full PLR picture. (I think )

….and I concluded that I must create unique sites…and rather than creating 50 spammy sites per year….I’m gonna focus on one main niche, and just hammer away at this niche until I become an authority on that niche.

Step #8
I’m sure you are all familiar with the Authority Site Center headed up by Jack Humphrey.

Well he is one that preaches AGAINST the model of many sites, and insists that it is much better to have just one (of a few) AUTHORITY SITES. (where you are the main expert in your market)….while I was aware of this all along, I haven’t jumped on his band wagon just yet…but after all this research, I’ve concluded that he is right…

Step #9
Now, let me clarify something. I still think PLR is necessary…but I plan to use it in a different way. I’m suggesting we use this model below…

…so instead of just joining a PLR membership, taking the monthly packages that they provide and throwing up site after site…and hoping for the best…

…I’m suggesting to build authority sites…with the aid of PLR, rather than just PLR alone.

As for me, I’m going to be using Jack Humphrey’s services at Authority Site Center and buy specific PLR as I need it. In other words, build my own site and use PLR to make money…rather than use PLR to build my site and hope it makes money.

Thats the plan for now.

P.S. Wheeeewwww….man oh man, I spent hours sifting through all this research. It is amazing how much junk is sold out there…and how easy it is to get sucked into it all. Some of these PLR sites provide some AWESOME stuff…but the problem always keeps coming back to me….it won’t work if 500 people buy the same stuff, and try to resell it.

Its a joke…and many newbies will fall for it.
